Nolan: brilliant, funny, creative, ALWAYS positive, persistent, determined, kind, hardworking, resilient, and dyslexic.

On Sunday, we celebrated Nolan completing his lessons at True Potential Education - Dyslexia & Speech Therapy! For the past five years, Nolan has attended sessions twice a week, and we couldn't be more proud of him.

With dyslexia, Nolan has had to approach learning differently. For example, while learning the alphabet, he would say “A,” then the sound “a,” and then associate it with a picture, like “apple.” This unique process has given Nolan an exceptional understanding of the English language—better than anyone else in the family.

The tools Nolan has learned at TPE have been life-changing. Now, armed with these tools, Nolan can achieve anything he sets his mind to. He continues to be supported by a wonderful community, including his teachers at Whittier Elementary, his grandparents, family friend Nancy, and his own family.

While dyslexia is something Nolan will always have, it doesn’t define him. The sky is truly the limit!

We love you, Nolan!

"My daughter attends True Potential and it has helped her in so many ways. She has gained skills and confidence through her short time, and those are priceless gifts."

— TPE parent, Anna

"I just wanted to write you a quick note and say thank you for all that you do. I was truly impressed by your services and everything amazing that you do. Three weeks after receiving your report, [my child] stood before his third grade class and told them he is dyslexic. He explained to them what it meant, and how it affects kids. I truly believe that because of your testing and way of explaining things to him you have unlocked a confidence like no other in him. He is truly flourishing in school now, and since his mind has been put to ease as to why things are a little harder in some areas, he is learning how to adapt.”

— TPE parent

"[He] is now one of the best spellers in the class! Please pass on huge pats on the back to those who tutor this guy!”

"Our family wanted to thank you all from the bottom of our heart! We were so glad fate had our paths cross at the right moment… our first grade son was struggling with reading and starting to dislike school. You helped us understand his unique challenges and with tutoring, you’ve helped him become a great reader. Perhaps more importantly, this built his academic confidence and ability to learn that will forever change his life path!”

“This is the best place to be if your child has dyslexia, dysnomia or dysgraphia. My kids complain about going to school, but never once have they complained about going to TPE. From evaluation through tutoring they will get you and your kiddo through it. Simply the BEST at what they do.”

"I have good news! I got my scores back today and I'm proud to announce that my score raised six points and my verbal reasoning section went from being in the 10th percentile to being at the 83rd percentile! I am so excited with my results. The hard work this summer/fall was truly amazing and I can't thank you enough for the help."

- TPE college student studying for the MCAT

"He seems so much more confident and is eager to explain to me how he can figure some things out now.  All you are doing now will make a huge impact on [his] academic growth. Thank you for all you have done to help me and the other teachers know more about [his] learning style and needs!"
